“Dropping out of high school is no longer an option. It's not just quitting on yourself, it's quitting on your country - and this country needs and values the talents of every American.”
— President Obama to joint session of Congress, February 24, 2009.

Dear Centennial Graduate:

In just 3 1/2 years New Mexico will celebrate 100 years of statehood, and in as many years, you too will be celebrating a huge milestone, your high school graduation. When you graduate in 2012, you will be a Centennial Graduate. This will only happen once in our history and you will be part of it. I invite every 9th grade student to take part in this exciting opportunity. Continued ...

New Centennial License Plate

Governor Bill Richardson introduced a new Centennial license plate to commemorate 100 years of New Mexico statehood. The Centennial license plate features a "retro" design — a classic look, using red and yellow colors from the state flag; and the Zia; and a bold turquoise background, reflecting the state gem. The Centennial license plates will be available to the public starting January 2010. Read more about the history of New Mexico license plates, see how they've changed over the years, and see a larger version of our new Centennial license plate!
