Certificate Request Instructions:

The Office of the Lieutenant Governor prides itself in celebrating the accomplishments of New Mexico citizens. Therefore, official greeting cards and certificates are available upon request to honor individual and/or group achievements.

New Mexico Residents Only
The Lieutenant Governor’s Office will send greeting cards and certificates to New Mexico residents only, for occasions as outlined below.
    
Advance Notice Required
We recommend that your request be sent four (4) weeks in advance of the event date. We are committed to honoring every request, but we cannot guarantee a greeting card or certificate arrives on time if this guideline is not met.
 
Types of Greetings/Certificates
  • Personalized Greeting Cards are available for the following occasions:
    • Anniversaries for those couples celebrating their 25th, 50th, and subsequent wedding anniversary
    • Birthdays for those individuals 75 years of age and above
    • Weddings
    • Baby's Birth (must be born during this Administration)
    • Bar/Bat Mitzvah or equivalent occasion
  • Certificates of Recognition are available for the following occasions:
    • Anniversaries for those couples celebrating their 25th, 50th, and subsequent wedding anniversary
    • Eagle Scout Award
    • Girl Scout Gold Award
    • Academic Achievements
    • Heroic Actions
    • Military Retirement
    • Police and Fire Retirement
    • State Retirement
    • Corporate Retirement
  • Certificates of Condolence are available for any New Mexican who has passed away (when requested by the immediate family)

Please note - all Certificate Requests require a biography of information to be included in the body of the certificate. If that information is not available, a Greeting Card will be sent instead.

Required Information. Please include the following in your request:

  • Name and home address of honoree(s)
  • Form of address (Mr., Ms., Mrs., Dr., Miss, etc.)
  • Exact date of occasion (month, day, year)
  • Age(birthdays) or number of years of marriage
  • Your (the requestor's) name and daytime phone number
  • Wedding (Include couple's married names and current or new address)
  • Baby's Birth (Include baby's date of birth and full names and address of baby and parents)
  • Short biography of relevant information if requesting a certificate.
